Insulated Dry Ice Bucket for EVS CO 2 Trap
Using this one-gallon, black plastic auxiliary bucket insulated with polyurethane
foam substantially extends the life of dry ice. BioQuip’s test results indicate that a
smaller quantity of dry ice lasts longer using this well-insulated pail than a larger
quantity placed in the standard model. (See EVS CO 2 trap description on catalog
page 38.) Savings in dry ice costs offset the cost of the bucket.
The inside lining of the CO 2 container has eight ounces of molded, expanded polyurethane
foam. Bucket comes with handle, hanger chain, foam plug and lid, and “D”
ring for hanging the EVS trap. Four holes drilled in the bottom of the bucket allow
CO 2 gas to escape. Additional holes can be drilled easily if desired. Size: 7-3/4"
high x 6-1/2" diameter (20 x 16.5 cm).
Note: 2801A trap body does not fit inside this bucket due to thickness of the liner.

Mosquito Attractant, “Octanol”
The mosquito attractant “Octanol” is reported to have pheromone-like properties. It is used by
vector control professionals and researchers to enhance the effectiveness of such mosquito
traps as the EVS, CDC, New Jersey, and gravid traps described on catalog pages 38 and 39.
A small amount of the chemical applied to a "wick" placed near the intake of the trap brings in
mosquitoes that may not have been attracted otherwise to the trap area. Packaged in amber

Insect-a-Slip Insect Barrier—Fluon
Insect-a-Slip prevents arthropods from climbing out of traps, cages, or other
containers. It is a fluoropolymer resin (PTFE-30), milky white liquid that can
be applied to any smooth surface such as glass, plastic, or metal. The solution
is brushed or wiped onto the inside top portion of the trap or container.
After it has dried, it forms a slick barrier that prevents arthropods from obtaining
a foothold on the treated area.
This product is packaged in amber glass bottles, available in three sizes.
Safety precaution: Vapors can be liberated that may be hazardous if inhaled.
Open and use Insect-a-Slip only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas using
local exhaust ventilation (LEV). MSDS is provided with each order.

Night Collecting Sheet
A product long-needed by entomologists working in the field, this convenient,
collapsible collecting sheet can be erected quickly. It is used
to collect any species that is attracted to light, and is suitable for use
in any environment with moderately level ground.
The reflective collecting sheet is configured as an arch or semi-circle.
It is 82" (208 cm) across the bottom and 87" (221 cm) high.
The frame consists of 10 pieces of 3/8" (1 cm) aluminum tube connected
with elastic cord. Tube sections are 24" (61 cm) long. After
sections are fitted together to form one pole, ends are brought together
to shape an arc, held in place by a polypropylene tension cord.
The frame is supported by two guy lines attached to tent stakes. The
sheet is smooth white Nylon rip stop, fastened to the frame with Velcro
loops. The bottom of the sheet extends 24" (61 cm) on both sides of
the frame to hold insects that drop from the sheet or that fly or crawl to
the sheet.
A fluorescent black light may be suspended from an adjustable cord
lock to position the lamp. A black light or mercury vapor light may also
be mounted on a tripod on one or both sides of the sheet. Includes
carrying case and assembly instructions. Weight is 2.2 lb.
