Durable polyethylene
plastic container holds
and protects up to five
microscope slides.
Fluted inner walls hold
slides in place without touching. Slides are easily inserted, and
container has snap-top, positive lock. Slight inward pressure on
the box sides, and thumbnail flip of the top opens the box.
Flat-sided shape allows simple application of identification labels,
and convenient shelf stacking for storage. Two boxes fit
into standard 1-3/4" diameter mailing tube. Because containers
are inexpensive and convenient, they are also used as disposable
staining dishes. Dimensions: 3-1/4 x 1-1/8 x 5/8" (83 x 29
x 15 mm).

Polypropylene Slide Box
STORAGE
Green neoprene and natural latex
rubber stoppers are recommended
for collections of specimens
in alcohol or other fluids
stored in patent lip or shell vials.
When these tapered stoppers are
properly installed in patent lip vials,
maintenance is unnecessary because fluid will not evaporate.
Green neoprene stoppers have a durometer reading of 50;
available in four sizes. Natural latex stoppers contain no pigment
to discolor fluid or specimens. With a softer durometer
(40) than neoprene, they are more easily seated and "burped"
to relieve internal air pressure.
