Plant Presses<br />
Standard Plant Press<br />
<strong>BioQuip</strong>’s standard plant press features solid oak hardwood<br />
frames and brass-plated rivets at all outside joints, providing<br />
exceptional strength. Frames in this professional grade press<br />
are 12 x 18" (30.5 x 46 cm), with oak strips 1" wide x 3/8" thick<br />
(2.5 x 1 cm). Outside edges are smooth sanded and rounded<br />
slightly to reduce wear on the straps.<br />
Twelve 3125 driers and twelve 3127 ventilators are supplied<br />
with the press. Two 3173 non-slip, polyester web straps, 1"<br />
wide x 84" long (2.5 x 213 cm) with sliding buckles, heat sealed<br />
on one end to prevent fraying, are included. Extra long straps<br />
allow for expansion of the press. Additional driers and ventilators<br />
listed at right may be ordered to increase press capacity<br />
or as replacements. Weight is 6-3/4 lbs.<br />

Student Plant Press<br />
A standard size but more economical plant press <strong>meets</strong> the<br />
needs of many students and collectors. It consists of two 12 x<br />
18" (30.5 x 46 cm) frames made of 1/4" (.6 cm) plywood strengthened<br />
with 1 x 3/8" (2.5 x 1 cm) oak hardwood strips along the<br />
long sides to prevent breaking and to assure uniform pressure.<br />
Two 3173 non-slip, polyester web straps, 1" wide x 84" long (2.5<br />
x 213 cm), with sliding buckles, twelve 3125 driers, and twelve<br />
3127 ventilators are supplied with this press. Additional or replacement<br />
driers, ventilators and straps are available, described<br />

press was designed at the Southwestern Research Station,<br />
