Pesola Scales
High-quality Pesola spring scales, graduated in grams, are
used to determine a wide variety of materials or specimens.
They are especially convenient for field use because they
require no cumbersome sliding weights or electrical connections.
Swiss-made, precision easy-tare scales “zero out” container
weights of up to 20% of the scale’s capacity, and are accurate
to +/- /-0.3%. They feature a rotatable eye clip and
crocodile clamp.

socks.
The light-duty Daypack is ideal for
stowing smaller objects, including
BioQuip collapsible nets and 12" extensions,
collecting jars, envelopes,
and a camera. It is constructed of
polyester, with adjustable padded
shoulder straps, and adjustable
waist belt.
The Daypack is 15 x 12 x 6.5" (38 x 30 x 16.5 cm), with a
capacity of 1334 cubic inches. It features a large front compartment
for forceps, pens and small notebooks, and two expandable

Tally Meter
Pocket-sized altimeter is a useful tool for
establishing life zones. It measures altitude
from 0 to 15,000 feet with graduated
readings in both 100-foot and 50meter
increments. Plastic base has sticky
tape for vehicle dashboard mounting.
Face swivels 360° for easy viewing. Diameter
is 2.5". Weight is 3 oz.; instructions

counts from 0 to 9999. Meter has easy-toread

Thommen Altimeter/Barometer
Classic Thommen analog altimeters,
made in Switzerland, are the
standard of excellence by which
others are judged. They are used
to determine absolute altitudes
above sea level, height differences,
atmospheric pressure, and future
weather conditions.
These precision hand-held, pocketsized
instruments are shock resistant
and very sturdy. They feature
temperature compensation from -
4°F to +104° F (-20°C to +40° C),
and are calibrated to within +/- 30
feet (+/- 10 meters) over the whole measuring range.
The barometer memory facility enables atmospheric pressure
readings for weather forecasting to be stored without losing
information about altitude above sea level.
Dimensions are 2.5 x 2.7 x .8" (64 x 68 x 20 mm); weight is 3.1
oz. (90 grams). Instruments carry two-year manufacturer's
guarantee for defects in materials or workmanship.

Protected in a shock-resistant
case, the 1140SB measures
altitude to 16,000 feet in 100foot
increments. The clear,
easy-to-read dial can be calibrated
to known elevations by
simply turning the outside dial.
Barometric pressure between
21 inches and 31 inches of mercury is measured on the inner
ring. Calibration is made by turning a flathead screw (with a
coin) on the back of the unit. The altimeter/barometer is protected
in a soft, vinyl case with a clear window, and a lanyard is
attached to prevent loss or damage from dropping.
