F<strong>in</strong>ally, the project carried out two smaller <strong>in</strong>formal surveys to supplement the survey data.<br />
First, an <strong>in</strong>formal survey of <strong>in</strong>stitutions that support the fruit <strong>and</strong> vegetable sector was carried out <strong>in</strong><br />

departments of the M<strong>in</strong>istry of Agriculture <strong>and</strong> Rural Development, seed companies, test<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong><br />
<strong>in</strong>spections services, <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational consultants. The results are reported <strong>in</strong> Chapter 8. Second, an<br />

description of consumption patterns <strong>in</strong> Chapter 7.<br />
6 Organization of the report<br />
This report is divided <strong>in</strong>to n<strong>in</strong>e chapters. Chapter 2 provides an overview of fruit <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> composition of <strong>Vietnam</strong>ese fruit <strong>and</strong> vegetable exports. Chapter 7 describes fruit <strong>and</strong> vegetable<br />
consumption patterns, based on the <strong>Vietnam</strong> Liv<strong>in</strong>g St<strong>and</strong>ards Surveys <strong>and</strong> an <strong>in</strong>formal survey of<br />
