The map shows th<strong>at</strong> activity A1.5.1 (Fig. 2) requires knowledge on size restrictions of facade panels to<br />

assess the panelis<strong>at</strong>ion scheme proposed by the project architect. This knowledge is owned by the<br />

consultant and is not specific to the project. Activity A1.5.3 uses the same inform<strong>at</strong>ion for a<br />

development r<strong>at</strong>her than a review task. The consultant has the opportunity to upd<strong>at</strong>e the knowledge<br />

during activity A4.6 (Fig. 3), when the same type of inform<strong>at</strong>ion, this time owned by the contractor, is<br />

used to review the design.<br />

4 The Proposed Tool<br />

The design outcome influence map discussed in section 2 suggests th<strong>at</strong> both knowledge of<br />

manufacturing constraints, and the efficient and effective applic<strong>at</strong>ion of this knowledge by the façade<br />
