PROGRAMMING IN A SYSTEM WITH CHANNELS.
Spindle swapping.
CNC 8065
(REF: 1103)
6.4.4 Rename the spindles of a channel.
Execution channels
The instruction #RENAME SP may be used to rename one or several spindles of the
channel. For each programmed channel pair, the first spindle takes the name of the second
one; if the second spindle is present in the configuration, it takes the name of the first spindle.
The change of the name of the spindles only remains during the execution of the program;
the original names are restored at the beginning of the next program.
Programming.
When programming this instruction, you must define one or several pairs of spindles.
Programming format.
The programming format is the following; the parameters to be set appear between curly
brackets and the optional parameters between angle brackets.
#RENAME SP [{sn1},{sn2}]
{sn1} Spindle whose name is to be changed.
{sn2} New spindle name.
#RENAME SP [S,S1]
(Rename spindle S as S1.)
#RENAME SP [S1,S2][S3,S]
(Rename spindle S1 as S2 and spindle S3 as S.)
Considerations.
Parameter RENAMECANCEL indicates whether the CNC keeps or cancel the names of the
axes and spindles (#RENAME) after executing M02 or M30, after a reset or at the beginning
of a new part-program in the same channel.
After turning the CNC off and on, the axes and spindles always keep their new name, except
after a checksum error or after validating the machine parameters that involve restoring the
original configuration of channels, axes or spindles. In either case, the axes and the spindles
will recover their original names.
When a channel releases (frees) a spindle (instruction #SET or #FREE), the axis always
recovers its original name.
Even if the #RENAME is kept (parameter RENAMECANCEL), the CNC cancels it if the
channel recovers a spindle with the same name after a reset or after a new program starts.
This occurs if the #RENAME uses the name of a spindle whose channel change permission
is temporary or no_exchange (parameter AXISEXCH), that is not in the channel at the time.
