Setting a nongrid raster<br />

dataset’s coordinate<br />

system<br />

1. Right-click the raster dataset<br />

and click Properties.<br />

2. In the Properties dialog box,<br />

scroll to the Spatial Reference<br />

information.<br />

3. Click the Edit button.<br />

4. In the Spatial Reference<br />

Properties dialog box, click<br />

Select to choose a predefined<br />

coordinate system.<br />

Or click Import to match the<br />

coordinate system of another<br />

data source. Or click New to<br />

define a new, custom<br />

coordinate system. Or click<br />

modify to change the current<br />

coordinate system’s properties.<br />

5. Browse the dialog box to<br />

choose the projection that is<br />

required for your raster<br />

dataset.<br />

You will need to open up<br />

several folders before you<br />

can choose your correct<br />

projection.<br />

6. Click Add.<br />

7. Click OK in the Spatial<br />

Reference Properties dialog<br />

box.<br />

8. Click OK in the Raster<br />

Dataset Properties dialog<br />
