Searching for words within<br />

a topic<br />

You can search for words in the<br />

topic you’re currently viewing.<br />

Press Ctrl + F on the keyboard to<br />

open the Find dialog box, then<br />

type the keyword you want to find.<br />

The keyword is highlighted<br />

everywhere it appears in the<br />

current topic.<br />

Finding Help topics<br />

containing specific words<br />

1. Click the Help menu and<br />

click ArcGIS Help.<br />

2. Click the Search tab.<br />

3. Type the word or words that<br />

should be contained in the<br />

topics you want to find.<br />

Your word expression may<br />

include an asterisk (*) to<br />

represent several characters,<br />

or a question mark (?) to<br />

represent one character. It<br />

may also use Boolean<br />

operators, such as AND, OR,<br />

NOT, and NEAR.<br />

4. Click List Topics.<br />

5. Double-click the topic you’re<br />

interested in.<br />

6. View the topic in the topic<br />

pane on the right.<br />

The word or words you<br />

specified are highlighted in<br />

the topic.<br />
