Tip
Searching for words within
a topic
You can search for words in the
topic you’re currently viewing.
Press Ctrl + F on the keyboard to
open the Find dialog box, then
type the keyword you want to find.
The keyword is highlighted
everywhere it appears in the
current topic.
Finding Help topics
containing specific words
1. Click the Help menu and
click ArcGIS Help.
2. Click the Search tab.
3. Type the word or words that
should be contained in the
topics you want to find.
Your word expression may
include an asterisk (*) to
represent several characters,
or a question mark (?) to
represent one character. It
may also use Boolean
operators, such as AND, OR,
NOT, and NEAR.
4. Click List Topics.
5. Double-click the topic you’re
interested in.
6. View the topic in the topic
pane on the right.
The word or words you
specified are highlighted in
the topic.
