sfjgehviv CCORDING to the Bible man consists of
if 3 body, soul, and spirit, which shows him to
'P *I* be God-like, in the fact of his being a trin-
'P ii' ity in unity. Beginning from without, the
''¥'¥"¥*'***' msn of these three is the physical body.
To the merely animal man, this seems by far the most
important, because it is that of which he is most conscious,
and that without which he could not function at
all on the material plane. And, indeed, altho as spiritual
men, we consider it the least of the three, it is worthy
of more consideration than we are apt to give to it.
For of atruth it is "fearfully and wonderfully made,"
being bu_ilded for the high and glorious purpose of being
a sanctuary for God in the Spirit-
THE HOLY TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD.
For the temple which was built by king Solomon, glorious
as it was, was but a type and allegory of the human
organism: the house which is always being builded
"without sound of saw or hammer."
Day or night, sleeping or waking, the work never
ceases-the heart beats at the rate of 70 times a minute;
