Icannot help but feel that the hand of God is directing
the councils of the nation in this terrible crisis, and that
all the nations engaged in this titanic struggle will come
out of it chastened and purified by agreat and tragic
sorrow. The world can never be the same as it was
before.
In the meantime we must possess our souls in
patience, and look for guidance to a higher than human
source. I wish that I could be of more assistance, but
I am hampered in my own affairs. I feel assured however,
that all things will work and are working together
for good. God will not let the light be extinguished; so
take courage, dear friends, and he will bless and keep
you thru it all.

be willing to serve. But if they wish to consecrate
themselves to the work, they will have to be willing to
serve where the call comes.
Right around us, there is
