2. The bones may endure for 4000 years.<br />

3. The heart may endure for 600 years.<br />

4. The liver for 400 years.<br />

5. The stomach for 400 years.<br />

6. The lungs for 1500 years.<br />

That vitalizing energy which has been the basis of<br />

man's physical and spiritual existence from the beginning<br />

of the world, contains the possibilities of prolonging<br />

the life of the organism indefinitely; The ignorance of<br />

this fact, the most vital fact of existence, has all to do<br />

with the prevalence of disease, the untimely approach<br />

of old age and death. When we contemplate the human<br />

organism built with such wonderful design and magnificent<br />

<strong>com</strong>plications, containing the seeds of immortality,<br />

and capable of an indefinite existence, we say with Cowper,<br />

"The<br />

hand that made us is Livine."<br />

THOSE who have started out on the higher road of life.<br />

the higher spiritual, often groan over the great sacrifices<br />

that they are asked to make-the sacrifice of the old self.<br />

But this giving up is as it were a man holding his hands<br />

full of silver, and one very rich should say to him, "lf<br />

you drop that silver, Iwill fill your hands with gold."<br />

After his hands were full ofgold, could he truthfully<br />

say, "Oh I have given up so much." I have lost so<br />

much in taking up the higher life."-D-_
