In the educational structure of Tbilisi population a significant trend can be observed of
people constantly improving their education level. In particular, the number of people with
secondary and university education has increased. The process started in the early
1970s and has resulted in a high share of residents with this level of education in a group
of 14-44-year-olds (i.e. in the productive age), which is shown in the table below.
