4. Conclusions
The objective was to evaluate the ability of the RegCM3
using Sugahara modified algorithm to simulate tropical
cyclones a algorithm to locate and tracking their
trajectories. Comparing the simulations with observations
and it is found that the model has little ability to simulate
long lasting tropical cyclones and this is enhanced over the
Gulf of Mexico region
