MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL UNION NO. 3
AND
THE CITY OF WATSONVILLE
2009-2010
This Memorandum of Understanding sets forth the agreement between the
representatives of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 and the representatives
of the City of Watsonville on all matters contained herein for employees of the City
of Watsonville in the Public Works Unit. The parties hereto agree to jointly
recommend to the City Council of the City of Watsonville that one or more
resolutions be adopted effectuating the following changes in the salaries, benefits,
and other terms and conditions of employment for said employees in the Public
Works Unit.
This Agreement shall become effective August 1, 2009, and shall terminate on June
30, 2010.
All benefits currently in effect and not modified by this Agreement or Appendix A
shall remain in effect for the term of this Agreement, except as provided herein.
1.0 COMPENSATION
1.1 Salary
1.1.1 Effective retroactive to the first full payroll period on or after
August 1, 2006 base salaries shall be increased by 3.8%.
1.1.2 Effective the first full payroll period following Council
ratification and in exchange for the changes proposed in
section 1.5, base salaries shall increase by 3%.
1.1.3 Effective the first full payroll period on or after August 1,
2007 base salaries shall be increased by 3.5%.
1.1.4 Effective the first full pay period on or after August 1, 2008,
base salaries shall be increased by 3.0%.
