About the Algoma District School Board
The Algoma District School Board consists of 11 secondary schools. Enrolment is approximately 5,000 students. The
Algoma District School Board serves a geographic area of 70,534 square kilometers and encompasses communies along
the north shore of Lake Huron, from Serpent River to Sault Ste. Marie, including Spanish, Elliot Lake, Blind River, Iron
Bridge and the communies of Central Algoma with Bruce Mines, Desbarats, St. Joseph Island, Laird and Echo Bay, and
along the east coast of Lake Superior, from Sault Ste. Marie to Hornepayne, which includes Wawa, Chapleau and White
River.
The Algoma District School Board strives to provide posive learning opportunies of the highest standard for all learners
to realize their full potenal.
ADSB schools provide a welcoming environment with a focus on the well being of each student. Each student is
encouraged to reach his/her potenal through quality programs delivered by highly trained, caring staff, in an
atmosphere of respect for all.
ADSB believes that communicaon and working in partnership with the home and community are the keys to success.
Transportation
If a course is not offered at a parcular school, there MAY be a possibility that the Board will provide transportaon to
take the course at another school. Please consult your Guidance Department.

The ADSB endeavours to provide an atmosphere where all students can learn in a posive environment free from
harassment, bullying, or discriminaon based on race, gender, or religion. The school Principal can be contacted for
