Science, Grade 9 Academic (SNC1D)<br />
This course enables students to understand basic concepts in biology, chemistry, earth and space science, and physics; to develop<br />
skills in the processes of scienfic inquiry; and to relate science to technology, society, and the environment. Students will learn<br />
scienfic theories and conduct invesgaons related to cell division and reproducon; atomic and molecular structures and the<br />
properes of elements and compounds; the universe and space exploraon; and the principles of electricity. All schools except<br />
Alexander Henry. Also offered as part of the French Immersion Program at SJD.<br />

Integrated Technologies, Grade 9 Open (TTI1O)<br />
This course enables students to understand the technological and computer concepts they will need in order to design, develop, and<br />
build usable products or to deliver services, as well as to pursue further technological studies. Students will use the technological<br />
design process and a variety of tools and soware to solve problems, complete projects, and strengthen their communicaon skills.<br />
