Description.--Leaves small, laneeolate in outline, about 2. 5 cm.<br />
long by o,g cm. in greatest vddth. Apex obtusely pointed, Base<br />
apparently acute. Margin entire for one-third <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> "distance<br />
above <strong>the</strong> base, <strong>the</strong> remainder _/vithsomewhat irregular, rounded,<br />
dentate teeth. Venation fine but distinct. Secondaries numerous,<br />
7 or 8 pairs, sub-opposite, camptodrome.<br />
This species is based on a few fragmentary specimens from <strong>the</strong><br />
upper <strong>Raritan</strong>, <strong>of</strong> which <strong>the</strong> leaf figured is <strong>the</strong> most complete.<br />
It is appareutly quite distinct from <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r members o{ <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Raritan</strong> tiara.<br />

Description.--Leaf lm_eeolate in outline, equally pointed at<br />
both ends, 5 era. to 6 cm. in length by 1.4 era. in greatest width.<br />
lVfargin slightly undulate. Midrib strong. Secondaries stout,<br />
numerous, regularly alternate, branching from <strong>the</strong> midrib at a<br />
wide angle, nearly 9o°, and running straight almost to <strong>the</strong><br />
margin where <strong>the</strong>ir ends are joined by nat arches, somewhat<br />
suggestive <strong>of</strong> a Ficus or a Eucalyptus, . "<br />
This species was based or_ a single incomplete specimen, and<br />
only two additional fragments have been found in <strong>the</strong> later collections.<br />
While its inclusion in <strong>the</strong> germs Myriea is not above question,<br />
it seems closer to this type than to any o<strong>the</strong>r which has sug-<br />
