"ton's fig. 12. For <strong>the</strong> same reason <strong>the</strong> writer is inclined to think<br />
that <strong>New</strong>berry's pl. 33, fig. 9, which he calls an Andromeda, is<br />
also referable to this species. Similar obovate leaves are also<br />
present in, <strong>the</strong> overlying Magothy formation.<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>New</strong>berry left no indication o,f <strong>the</strong> locality in <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Raritan</strong> from which: this species was collected. It is, however,<br />
present in subsequent collections from South Amboy.<br />
