He stated that the serial numbers willbe forwarded to the Army Material Comm<strong>and</strong>, <strong>Logistics</strong> Support Activity for inclusion inthe DoD Small Arms <strong>and</strong> Light Weapons Serialization Program database.Our ResponseComm<strong>and</strong>er, MNSTC-I comments were responsive, <strong>and</strong> no additional comments arerequired.2.d. The Comm<strong>and</strong>er, MNSTC-I stated that MNSTC-I J4had demilitarization responsibility for captured weapons until December 31, 2008, afterwhich demilitarization for captured weapons would become the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the GoI.He agreed that MNSTC-I would advise the Iraqis on setting up their demilitarizationprocess should they choose to pursue that program.Our ResponseComm<strong>and</strong>er, MNSTC-I comments were responsive. We underst<strong>and</strong> from the commentsthat implementation <strong>of</strong> a demilitarization process for the MoI after December 31, 2008,will be a sovereign decision <strong>of</strong> the GoI <strong>and</strong> that MNSTC-I will assist in establishing thatprocess only if requested. No additional comments are required.45
