Oversee digital media and production operations at Tribeca Flashpoint, a two-year digital arts college for 500+<br />
students founded in 2007. Reporting to CEO responsible for implementing technology strategy and coordinating<br />
activities across administration, faculty, staff and students. Serve as the primary liaison to key business partners<br />
and technology vendors ensuring long-term relationships.<br />
• Recruited to transform under-performing media management and internal production units. Developed<br />
and implemented a multi-pronged plan that included: comprehensive internal production and media<br />
workflows, adding new acquisition technology and building out campus-wide IT and media<br />
technologies and operations support systems necessary to scale with the growth of our business model.<br />
• Promoted to VP Technology and given broader stake across the company and academic disciplines to<br />
streamline existing technology and learning processes by identifying, proposing and implementing<br />
opportunities for revenue potential and cost savings.<br />
o Developed strategy, curriculum and financial model for key 2012 initiative to drive revenue and<br />
graduate placement rate.<br />
o Aligned corporate IT policies and practices to accommodate the specialized needs of Film,<br />
Game Development and Visual Effects content creation.<br />
• Selected by Academic Dean to join adjunct faculty and teach production and post-production courses<br />
for Film/Broadcast students. Wrote course curriculum and teaching materials used by faculty.<br />
• Avoided $200K in planned capex for enterprise storage by championing changing operational practices<br />
and leveraging existing storage infrastructure.<br />
• Negotiated with manufacturer for a win-win outcome for the return and credit of a poorly performing<br />
asset management system 24 months after install, recovering 60% of original hardware purchase price.<br />
• Project manage and produce two large–scale film and broadcast productions annually for up to 200<br />
students per production where the hands-on student experience serves as a critical foundation for the<br />
degree program.
