One door is filled with an immovablepanel, with a figure of a draped bearded man holdingan oinochoe, and inscribed SoAa?, and in Lycian zzala.The second door is believed to have been fitted with a panel,having the wife of Salas in relief. (Fellows, Lycia,p. 117.) The reliefs, of which casts are preserved in theBritish Museum, formed a friezeimmediately below thecornice on each side of the tomb. On theleft of the principal relief is a group of four figures playingwith knuckle-bones. In front are a girl seated and agirl kneeling, both closely draped and having longhair.Behind are a youth standing, wrapped in a mantle, and awoman who holds an aryballos in her left hand and wearsher mantle over her head. All the figures make animatedgestures. Near the head of the youth is the inscriptionMc'o-os. Next on the right is a woman seated, holding aboy in her hands, and wearing her mantle over her head.Behind her is a female figure, much mutilated, standingto the left with her right hand under her chin. The remainderof the relief, which is not represented by a cast,appears to have contained either a sacrificial group (Scharf),or warriors (Petersen, Beisen in Lykien, ii., p. 193).Height, 2 feet f inch ; length, 4 feet 2 inches.
