This informationis crucial for solid waste management planningin both urban and rural areas, where big investment andrecurrent costs may constitute a barrier for decision makers.The benefits of compost products, reduced transportationand landfill land, and an improved environment aroundlandfill sites are major benefits associated with sustainableapproaches to solid waste management.
