The bark yields an abundanceof limpid oil, with a pungent turpentine smell, congealing in abuttery camphoraceous substance; it has the same properties asbalsam of copaiba. Raw fruit eatable, but apt to bring on diarrhea.Said to yield East Indian Elcmi.
