Bachelor of Arts
The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies degree program is an interdisciplinary studies
program that emphasizes arts and sciences courses. It works well for students whose
future goals include post graduate study in law school, or a graduate program in one of
the arts and sciences disciplines.
Goals:
• To prepare students to become lifelong learners in both their professional and
personal lives;
• To emphasize the inter-relatedness of liberal and professional education;
• To encourage intellectual, social, and ethical growth through the critical examination
of works in art, science, philosophy, and literature; and
• To prepare students to be successful citizens and leaders in a global community.
Special Features:
While only students in the Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies program are required
to take a professional internship, all Liberal Studies students are encouraged to take
advantage of such experiences.
