Management: Sport Management specialization<br />

Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Studies<br />

The Sport Management program at Cazenovia College prepares students for a number<br />

<strong>of</strong> interesting and exciting career opportunities in the sport industry – from youth to<br />

scholastic to collegiate to pr<strong>of</strong>essional sport management and marketing, from event<br />

and facility management to sport agency. The Sport Management curriculum combines<br />

both classroom learning and internship experiences that help broaden the students‘<br />

understanding, as well as experiential and networking opportunities.<br />

Goals:<br />

• To explore the wide variety <strong>of</strong> career paths available to students in the Sport<br />

Management field;<br />

• To <strong>of</strong>fer relevant courses that will prepare Sport Management students for the current<br />

sport industry marketplace; and<br />

• To present Sport Management students with a broad range <strong>of</strong> internship<br />

opportunities that will give them the chance to explore different avenues <strong>of</strong> the sport<br />

industry while <strong>of</strong>fering them the opportunity to network with a number <strong>of</strong> sport<br />

management pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />

Special Features:<br />

Through a nine-credit-hour internship comp<strong>one</strong>nt, students gain a better understanding<br />

<strong>of</strong> the true responsibilities <strong>of</strong> the sport management pr<strong>of</strong>essional.<br />
