Minor in Sociology<br />
The sociology minor allows students to study a diverse group <strong>of</strong> topics from social<br />
inequalities to issues regarding families, education, politics, the economy and religion.<br />
Students will be able to explore courses relevant to their interests. Courses are also<br />
<strong>of</strong>fered that investigate American society‘s role within a greater global context. Upon<br />
completion <strong>of</strong> the minor, students will be able to critically analyze contemporary social<br />
problems from a theoretical and practical level. The minor requires a minimum <strong>of</strong> 18<br />
credits including Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, and Social Theory.<br />
Students will be able to choose a set <strong>of</strong> courses based on their major or interests.<br />

Minor in Sport Management<br />
In an effort to <strong>of</strong>fer students in other academic disciplines the opportunity to explore<br />
the study <strong>of</strong> sport management and with the support and guidance <strong>of</strong> the Division <strong>of</strong><br />
Business and Management, the following is proposed as a way for students to minor in<br />
sport management, and is geared toward students who wish to obtain a BPS (Bachelor<br />
<strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Students) degree. The total credit requirement for a minor in Sport<br />
Management is 30 credits<br />
