A survey <strong>of</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware architecture evaluation methods published in IEEE Transactions on S<strong>of</strong>tware<br />
Engineering identifies six different scenario-based evaluation methods, all <strong>of</strong> which cite<br />
SAAM as one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir sources [Dobrica 2002].<br />
<strong>SEI</strong> staff members published three scholarly articles on <strong>the</strong> SAAM [Kazman 1994, 1996; Clements<br />
1995], and <strong>the</strong>y had been cited by o<strong>the</strong>rs 441, 410, and 58 times, respectively as <strong>of</strong> August<br />
2014. The <strong>SEI</strong> also participated in industry groups to document techniques used in s<strong>of</strong>tware architecture<br />
evaluation [Kruchten 2001].<br />
The <strong>SEI</strong> teaches courses and certifies individuals as competent in scenario-based architecture<br />
evaluation methods. 59<br />
