Schreiben rückt den seelisch-geistigen Raum des Individuums
in den Mittelpunkt. Behinderung und Einschränkungen
verblassen.
In manchen
ting› can be discovered, and in these last seven years
they have been discovered by many people in need
of assistance. The Anthropoi Self Help Project, under
the direction of Ingeborg Woitsch, is an educational
initiative that supports people with cognitive limitations
in identity-building and self-discovery through
creative and biographical writing. Here, people with an
enthusiasm for writing look for a creative path into
writing about themselves, making notes and copying.
The simple hand tools – colourful pens and beautiful
paper – are an invitation to an undiscovered land and
promote joy in the discovery of writing. There are moments
when the concentrated silence, the backs bent
over the paper, the effort of directing the pen are reminiscent
of work in the scriptoria of monasteries.
We now have a national network of regular writing
groups in the anthroposophic lifesharing communities.
Their contributions can be read in the centre point section
of the magazine Punkt und Kreis [Point and Circle].
In the last seven years, the Project has gathered
around 500 interested women and men for the writing
workshops, as well as many writing group instructors.
At writing festivals in 2010 and 2015, writers from
many different communities were able to meet each
other. Annual writing instructor conferences connect
