Der Impuls der Heilpädagogik und Sozialtherapie existiert
in Indien schon seit vielen Jahren. Vom ersten in
England ausgebildeten heilpädagogischen Therapeuten
bis zu den vielen heute existierenden Zentren ist es eine
Reise mit ausserordentlichen Lern- und Entwicklungserfahrungen
gewesen, sowohl aus der Perspektive des Einzelnen
als auch der Gemeinschaft. Die Anthroposophie
hat das Leben vieler Menschen berührt, andere sind
immer noch auf der Suche, ihre Bedeutung zu verstehen.
Spiritualität gehört als eine uralte Tradition zu Indien
und die Anthroposophie bietet einen Weg, diese Spiritualität
durch das Verständnis des eigenen inneren Wesens
wieder zu entzünden.
Heute hat Indien 13 etablierte Zentren, die im Bereich
der Heilpädagogik und Sozialtherapie arbeiten, drei von
ihnen ausschliesslich sozialtherapeutisch. Es gibt fast
50-60 Menschen die hier tätig sind und Dienste für Menschen
mit Behinderungen anbieten, u.a. Heilpädagogen,
Sozialtherapeuten, anthroposophische Ärzte, Therapeuten
für rhythmische Massage und Eurythmisten.
Die Bewegung konzentriert sich eher in Südindien mit
Chennai als dem Zentrum der Initiativen. Hier gibt es
viele fortlaufende Aktivitäten auf diesem Arbeitsgebiet
und eine grosse Anzahl ausgebildeter Heilpädagogen
kommt aus dieser Region. Auch in den Städten Bangalore,
Pune, Goa und Mumbai finden sich weitere heilpädagogische
und sozialtherapeutische Zentren.
Der Grundkurs für anthroposophische Heilpädagogik
und Sozialtherapie startete 2005 in Bangalore. Er ist nun
in seinem dritten Durchlauf und ein Keim für viele andere
Initiativen geworden. Er bietet seinen Studierenden eine
Ausbildung, die Gelegenheit gemeinsam zu studieren,
gemeinsam zu wachsen und, am wichtigsten, den Impuls
in die Welt zu tragen.
In den letzten Jahren fand eine enorme Ausbreitung
statt, besonders auf dem Gebiet der Heilpädagogik.
Viele heilpädagogische und integrative Zentren sind eröffnet
worden. Die Schulen verstehen, wie wichtig eine
Ausbildung ist und regen ihre Mitarbeitenden zur Teilnahme
an, sodass sie ein tieferes Verständnis der Arbeit
und der Anthroposophie erlangen. Die meisten Personen
werden im Grundkurs für anthroposophische Heilpädagogik
und Sozialtherapie ausgebildet, der in der Gemeinschaft
«Freunde des Camphill Indien» in Bangalore
(Südindien) angeboten wird. Einige Kollegen haben ihre

existed in India for quite a few years. From the first
Curative therapist trained in England many years ago
to the many centres existing today, this journey has
been one of exceptional learning and development,
both from an individual as well as from a community-based
perspective. Anthroposophy has touched the
lives of many and others are still seeking to understand
its meaning. Spirituality has been engrained in India
as an ancient tradition and Anthroposophy has offered
a path to reignite this spirituality by understanding
one’s Inner Being as well as recognising the other as a
Human Being.
Today, India has 13 established Centres working across
the field of Curative Education and Social Therapy,
three of which are exclusively working with Social Therapy.
There are between 50-60 people working in the
field and offering services to people with disabilities;
these include Curative Education Teachers, Social Therapy
workers, Anthroposophical doctors, Rhythmical
Massage Therapists and Eurythmists.
The movement is concentrated more in southern India,
with Chennai being the current hub of activity. There are
many ongoing activities and opportunities in the area of
work, and a large number of trained Curative Educators
come from this region. The cities where Anthroposophical
Curative Education and Social Therapy can be found
are Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Goa, Mumbai.
The Foundation Course in Anthroposophical Curative
Education and Social Therapy started in Bangalore in
the year 2005. It has become the seed for many other
initiatives. It offers its students training, an opportunity
to study together, to grow together and most important,
to take the impulse out into the world.
The past few years have seen a tremendous growth
in the field, especially in the field of Curative Education.
Many Curative centres and Integrated Centres
have opened. The schools understand the importance
of Training and they encourage their staff to attend
courses so that they get a deeper understanding of
the work as well as of Anthroposophy. Most people
are currently being trained through the Foundation
Course in Anthroposophical Curative Education
and Social Therapy, which is being offered at the Friends
of Camphill India community based in Bangalore
