From self-driving cars to detecting unusual debit card usage, artificial intelligence (AI) is being applied
to many sectors. Work on the next generation of applications with training from this program. Because
the program is aligned with the latest trends in the software engineering industry, you will learn about
augmented analytics, AI-driven development and autonomous things. Courses will emphasize
modern software design and AI frameworks, machine learning, data visualization, big data
fundamentals, natural language processing, recommender systems, and digital ethics and privacy
guidelines. Through two software development projects, you will develop real-world business
applications.

Whether you are interested in biotechnology, electrical or software engineering technology, or other
technological and applied science career areas, this program is your educational pathway to further
education. By helping you develop a thorough understanding of personal, academic and professional
requirements through skills in communications, mathematics, technology, computers and science,
ICET will support you in meeting academic requirements for the School of Engineering Technology
and Applied Science’s (SETAS) technical programs. Upon completion, and depending on the grade
level you achieve, you may be exempt from certain courses in some Centennial diploma and
advanced diploma programs.
