MODIFIED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM – 32<br />

An automotive service technician with a specialization in Honda must know the company’s latest<br />

technology, electronics and mechanical systems. If you are a new or existing Acura or Honda dealer<br />

apprentice, this program will cover the educational apprenticeship section, with specific training on<br />

Acura and Honda components. You will also receive additional technical training on many factory<br />

e-Learning modules and hybrid and alternate fuel systems. The program will run in eight four-week<br />

blocks for 32 weeks. During that time, you will alternate between Centennial and your dealer for paid<br />

apprenticeship work terms. You will be eligible for up to $4,000 in grants and tax incentives.<br />

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS<br />

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)<br />

or General Educational Development (GED),<br />

or equivalent.<br />

• Applicants must be employed by an Acura or<br />

Honda Canada Inc. dealership. Applicants<br />

must secure employment with a Honda<br />

Canada Inc. dealership and then register as<br />

MAP apprentices with the Ministry of Labour,<br />

Training and Skills Development.<br />

In Canada, Toyota is the exclusive distributor of Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, SUVs and trucks. Its<br />

popular offerings need knowledgeable service technicians with training specific to the company’s<br />

product descriptions, operation, diagnostics and repair. Gain that training, and cover the traditional<br />

apprenticeship curriculum, as well as diagnosing computerized control systems and electronics, in<br />

this program for existing or new Toyota/Lexus apprentices. Delivered in eight four-week blocks,<br />

for 32 weeks total, your time in the program will alternate between Centennial and your dealer for<br />

paid apprenticeship work terms. During in-school training, you will be eligible for up to $4,000 in<br />
