Take your marketing interests and apply them to a workforce in which spending on marketingrelated<br />

activities has grown considerably. To enter the field, this program will equip you with a solid<br />

business foundation and specialized knowledge. Your education will start with the basics of business<br />

— accounting, organizational behaviour, business software, customer service and international<br />

business. With this knowledge base, you will study marketing topics including marketing theory<br />

and case-based problem solving, marketing communications (both advertising and promotion),<br />

account management, and sales and service. The curriculum will use case studies, guest lectures,<br />

presentations, projects, computer simulations and technologies.<br />

Are you fascinated by the way organizations use marketing to connect with their customers through<br />

social media, consumer knowledge and business strategy? This program’s blend of broad-based<br />

business administration topics with marketing training will create opportunities in various marketing<br />

roles and industries. Marketing-specific areas of study will include: marketing research, marketing<br />

communications, digital marketing and brand planning. In addition to lectures, assignments and<br />

presentations, you will use case studies and industry software, such as Tableau and Envision, to<br />

develop creative decision-making and persuasive communication skills. You will also get the chance<br />

to compete in province- and nation-wide academic contests*.<br />
