Your skills in energy-efficient, sustainable design and construction strategies, and protecting the<br />

environment will be valuable to the new residential and commercial building developments going up<br />

all over the Greater Toronto Area as well as those needing to be restored. In this program, you will<br />

become familiar with building materials, construction methods, structural design, mechanical and<br />

electrical services, building codes and zoning by-laws, contracts, specifications, and the business<br />

environment for providing design and construction services. You will also learn to use industrystandard<br />

computer technology, and prepare designs and construction drawings for residential,<br />

industrial, commercial, institutional, complex and mixed-use buildings.<br />
