Career success starts with a solid foundation, which you will get in this program. You will be<br />
positioned to enter the field, apply transfer credits to Centennial’s Culinary Management program, or<br />
use the College’s articulation agreements to complete a university degree in two additional years. The<br />
program will cover seasonal cooking, exploring international flavours, menu preparation, ingredients,<br />
food preparation and more. To hone your skills, you will study in culinary labs as well as Centennial’s<br />
café, restaurant and Event Centre. You will graduate with industry certifications such as Smart Serve,<br />
Safe Food Handlers, CPR and It’s Your Shift (an innovative training and awareness program to prevent<br />
sexual harassment and violence).<br />

From food and beverage to transportation or travel services, sales and marketing, or attractions<br />
and entertainment, the tourism industry is comprised of diverse sectors. In our Tourism program,<br />
academic curriculum inspired by professional input will instill knowledge and skills through hands-on<br />
experiential learning and a 14-week work-integrated experience. The combination will prepare you for<br />
tourism’s inbound and outbound sectors. You will graduate with certification in Smart Serve, TrainCan<br />
Safe Food Handlers, TICO Travel Counsellor, Manulife Travel Insurance, Cruise Lines International<br />
Association University Level Program, Level C CPR and It’s Your Shift (a program to prevent sexual<br />
harassment and violence).<br />
