Aircraft and airframe assemblers are key to the global airline industry, made up of over 2,000 airlines<br />

operating more than 23,000 aircraft. In this field, you will perform complex airframe assembly<br />

required by aviation manufacturing — and Centennial’s Airframe Assembly program will provide you<br />

with the necessary knowledge and skills. Learning in our technologically advanced labs will give you<br />

the comprehension to apply specific technical proficiencies related to materials, riveting techniques,<br />

airframe assembly and stresses. Plus, your skills — including blueprint reading, cutting/forming and<br />

riveting — will be transferable to other trades such as sheet metal, construction, industrial and<br />

transportation.<br />

Note: If you graduate with a grade of 85 per cent or higher, you will be considered for employment by Bombardier Aerospace.<br />

Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance 8112<br />

LENGTH INTAKE CREDENTIAL LOCATION<br />

2 years/4 semesters Fall Ontario College Diploma Downsview<br />

Keep aircraft flying safely through various roles within aircraft maintenance and manufacturing<br />

organizations, airlines, the government and more. In this program, your classes will be delivered in<br />

modern labs and an aircraft hangar, where you will gain hands-on experience servicing, repairing,<br />

overhauling, and troubleshooting aircraft components and systems. Instructors will walk you through<br />

airframe, engine, electrical and hydraulic systems as well as propeller, avionics equipment and<br />

aircraft instrument work techniques. You will also become familiar with aircraft maintenance areas<br />

such as general aviation, business and corporate aviation, and charter and transport category<br />

aviation.<br />

This knowledge base will equip you to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “M” rated licence.<br />

1. Classes may run between 7:30 am and 8:30 pm.<br />
