The guide in English and Italian for the lift sector. Conceived by the editorial staff of ‘Elevatori Magazine’ and edited by Roberto Cottardo, it illustrates the lift and the relevant lift components. A very great editorial success, which is still highly sought after. In 2010, ‘How It Works 2’ was published, which, thanks also to the contribution of Anica (Italian Association of Lift Components Industries) is focused on the main lift components, with a final chapter targeted at lift platforms. In 2013, ‘How It Works 3’ deals with new contents and it is distributed globally with publications in Chinese, German, Turkish and Hindi. In 2017, at the heart of ‘How It Works 4’ (in 3 languages: Italian, German and English) focuses on the EN 81-20 & EN 81-50 European Standards and relevant changes. The sector association VFA-Interlift was also involved in the drafting of the fourth volume. In 2019 ‘How It Works 5’ deals with modernisation, an important topic due to the huge number of systems installed worldwide in need of maintenance services for the safety of users. Ideata dalla redazione di ‘Elevatori Magazine’ e curata dall’ing. Roberto Cottardo, spiega l’ascensore e i suoi componenti. Un boom editoriale ancora oggi richiestissimo. Nel 2010, viene pubblicato ‘Come funziona 2’, che, grazie anche al contributo di Anica (Associazione Nazionale delle Industrie di Componenti per Ascensori), prosegue nella spiegazione dettagliata dei principali componenti dell’ascensore, con un capitolo finale dedicato alle piattaforme elevatrici. Nel 2013 ‘Come funziona 3’ si arricchisce di nuovi contenuti e la sua distribuzione si allarga a tutto il mondo con pubblicazioni anche in cinese, tedesco, turco e hindi. Nel 2017, al centro di ‘Come funziona 4’ (redatto in 3 lingue: italiano, tedesco e inglese) sono le normative europee EN 81-20 & EN 81-50 e i cambiamenti a esse legati. Alla redazione del quarto volume ha collaborato anche l’associazione di settore VFA-Interlift. Nel 2019 ‘Come funziona 5’, si è occupato di modernizzazioni, tema importante per la quantità imponente d’impianti installati in tutto il mondo che necessitano di interventi indispensabili per la sicurezza degli utenti. THE ‘ELEVATORI MAGAZINE’ AWARD ‘Elevatori Magazine’ awards the special international ‘Elevatori High-Tech Award’ prize to the best paper of the Elevcon congress (a highly technical and scientific congress, organised by Iaee, ‘International Association of Elevator Engineers’). The jury panel includes representatives of the event organisers. IL PREMIO DI ‘ELEVATORI MAGAZINE’ ‘Elevatori Magazine’ assegna lo speciale riconoscimento internazionale ‘Elevatori High- Tech Award’, riservato alla migliore presentazione del congresso Elevcon (convegno di altissimo livello tecnico e scientifico, organizzato da Iaee, ‘International Association of Elevator Engineers’).
