REPLACEMENT OF SUSPENSION ROPES
As far as this modification is concerned,
the standard states, and therefore accepts, that
the replacement of traction ropes only with others
similar with equal diameter available on the
market does not constitute a change of installation,
thus belonging to the category of replacements
for ordinary maintenance. This modification
(replacement) is therefore not subject to current
legislation and in our country does not require
the execution of an Extraordinary Assessment.
REPLACEMENT OF THE SPEED GOVERNOR
The UNI 10411 standard requires that the new
safety component is obviously certified according
to the regulations currently in force and is such
as to ensure the intervention of the safety gear
within the limits required by the standards in
force at the time of installation. The adjustment
devices of the governor must be sealed after
setting the speed of intervention.
It is not pleonastic to add that the speed
governor (as well as all safety components)
must be fitted with a plate bearing the following
information:
• name of the manufacturer,
• maximum operating speed (after adjustment),
• EC/EU type-examination references
(Certificate).
REPLACEMENT OF LANDING DOORS
This is a change that may be frequently requested
and that brings with it a not negligible number of
requirements to be met, which arise substantially
from those established by the harmonized
standards dating back to 1999 (EN 81-1&2)
and 2014 (EN 81-20&50). An important point,
connected to the characteristics of the building,
concerns the minimum height of the door
which, for the standard, must be at least 1.90
metres accepting that, for lower heights, the
requirements of EN 81-21 can be met.
New doors must in any case, without prejudice to
previous possibilities / derogations, comply with
the requirements of the harmonized standards for
doors, being designed for:
• having necessary mechanical resistance;
• minimizing the consequences of damage
caused by dragging a part of the body, a dress
or an object;
• having all the appropriate and necessary
signals.
LANDING DOOR UNLOCKING ZONE
The door unlocking zone shall be greater than
the situation prior to the modification, provided
that the new zone is no greater than the height
required by paragraph 7.7.1 of EN 81-1&2.
REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRIC MOTOR
The UNI 10411 standard precisely refers to
clauses 12 and 13 of standards EN 81-1&2.
intervento.
• avere necessaria resistenza meccanica;
di un abito oppure di un oggetto;
• disporre di tutte le segnalazioni opportune e
necessarie.
