Voci dall’Europa
How is the industry press moving in the
other European countries? We talked
about this with Salvador Beltrán,
director of the Spanish magazine ‘Ascensores y
Montacargas’. Many points were touched during
our conversation focused on the Brussels decisions,
rules and their standardisation at a global level,
without neglecting the sector situation in Spain.
altri Paesi europei? Ne parliamo con
Salvador Beltrán, direttore della rivista
spagnola ‘Ascensores y Montacargas’. Molti
What is the relationship between
‘Ascensores y Montacargas’ and other sector
magazines in Europe?
The ‘Ascensores y Montacargas’ magazine
has excellent connections with sector media,
both European and non-European, because
we know that we are all fighting for the
same thing and we are all in the same
situation, even if not everyone is
going in the same direction. Sector
magazines meet the goal of
providing information based on
the needs of their readers.
The need to transmit constant
information means that several
magazines, just like ours,
have developed very smart
digital editions, publishing news
and offering them to readers free
of charge and without no restrictions.
What is missing is that among the various
European magazines we are not able to create an
international federation of European commercial
press, which would provide advertisers
with everything they need to achieve their
communication goals.
Do you think it is important for a magazine like
‘Ascensores y Montacargas’ to communicate
and explain what is happening in Brussels?
It is our duty, as a magazine, to talk about
Brussels, but also about Italy, France, Germany
and all the places in the news, because this
is the mission and role of a specialized magazine
like ours, where sector concerns are brought
to a global level.
For the future, there is the aim of a unified
worldwide standardisation (ISO): what do you
think? Is the project too ambitious?
Ambitious projects can be challenging, but they are
expensive to implement. My question is whether
there is an actual need for a urgent implementation
of a worldwide standardization, in a sector like
ours which today, like so many others, is plagued
by multiple problems (company closures, debt
in Europa?
professionali soddisfano l’obiettivo
di informare e lo fanno sulla base
delle esigenze dei propri lettori.
La necessità di trasmettere
un’informazione costante fa
sì che molte riviste, a partire
dalla nostra, abbiano sviluppato
edizioni digitali molto agili, che
pubblicano notizie a stretto giro,
offrendole ai lettori gratuitamente e
senza alcuna limitazione.
comunicazione.
Crede che sia importante che una rivista
come ‘Ascensores y Montacargas’ comunichi
e spieghi cosa sta succedendo a Bruxelles?
pensa?
