In September <strong>2020</strong> Eecmai, the Elevator<br />
& Escalator Component Manufacturers’<br />
Association of India was born.<br />
The association’s goal is to bring together<br />
the component manufacturers of the vertical<br />
transport market based in India.<br />
President Suraj Thodimarath (Wittur Spa),<br />
unanimously elected during<br />
the inaugural assembly,<br />
said: “India is in the best<br />
position to emerge as an<br />
alternative global powerhouse<br />
for the production of E&E<br />
components complying with international<br />
safety and performance standards. Eecmai<br />
comes at a time when global companies need<br />
to remove any risk associated with depending<br />
on a single country for the supply chain.”<br />

A settembre <strong>2020</strong> è nata Eecmai, Elevator<br />
& Escalator Component Manufacturers’<br />
Association of India. L’associazione vuole<br />
riunire le aziende di componentisti del mercato<br />
del trasporto verticale che hanno sede in India.<br />
Eletti all’unanimità l’assemblea inaugurale<br />
e il Presidente Suraj Thodimarath (Wittur Spa),<br />
che ha dichiarato: “L’India<br />
è nella posizione migliore per<br />
emergere come potenza globale<br />
alternativa per la produzione<br />
di componenti per ascensori<br />
e scale mobili conformi<br />
agli standard internazionali di sicurezza<br />
e prestazioni. Eecmai nasce in un momento<br />
in cui le imprese globali devono eliminare,<br />
nella loro catena di approvvigionamento,<br />
i rischi legati al dipendere da un singolo Paese”.<br />
THYSSENKRUPP, TWO CONTRACTS<br />
FOR INDIAN AIRPORTS<br />
Thyssenkrupp Elevator has been awarded two<br />
contracts for the supply of vertical transport<br />
systems to two Indian airports. Fifteen lifts<br />
will serve an expansion of 40,000 sqm at<br />
Pune International Airport. In the new 77,500<br />
sqm terminal at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi<br />
Airport in Guwahati there will be<br />
25 thyssenkrupp lifts, 10 escalators<br />
and two moving walks. Thyssenkrupp<br />
has supplied VT to 20 Indian airports and, with<br />
the government’s efforts to increase the number<br />
of domestic airports from 103 to 200 by 2040,<br />
the company foresees further opportunities.<br />
THYSSENKRUPP, DUE CONTRATTI<br />
PER GLI AEROPORTI INDIANI<br />
Thyssenkrupp Elevator si è aggiudicata<br />
due contratti per la fornitura di attrezzature per<br />
il trasporto verticale in due aeroporti in India.<br />
Quindici ascensori serviranno un’espansione di<br />
40.000 m 2 all’aeroporto internazionale di Pune.<br />
Nel nuovo terminal di 77.500 m 2 dell’aeroporto<br />
di Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi a Guwahati<br />
ci saranno 25 ascensori thyssenkrupp, 10 scale<br />
mobili e due marciapiedi mobili. Thyssenkrupp<br />
è presente in 20 aeroporti indiani e, con gli<br />
sforzi del governo per aumentare il numero di<br />
aeroporti nazionali da 103 a 200 entro il 2040,<br />
l’azienda prevede ulteriori opportunità.<br />
