Bhagyashree

Dassani

An Inspiring Beauty

Coming into the limelight with her first Bollywood movie “Maine

Pyar Kiya,” actress Bhagyashree Dassani became the dream girl

of the 90s. Though, she quit the film industry, but her presence is

still felt around as she continues to play different roles such as

wellness expert, blogger and motivational speaker among others

Like her reel life, Bhagyashree plays multiple roles in

her real life too. She began her acting career in 1987

with a TV series “Kachchi Dhoop” where she played

the role of Alka. Since then, her dietary routine and fitness

measures are looked upon as the best way of leading life as

she, even in her 50s, looks absolutely perfect. The lifestyle

of the actress being the talk of the town inspired her to

become a wellness consultant, whereby she offers her

valuable advice to youngsters as well as adults to ensure

their good health throughout their lives.

Through her lifestyle blogs on Times of India, her ideas

reach a majority of the Indian population with her tips to

keep your heart, body, soul, and mind nourished. People

follow her blogs and implement the fitness strategies to

stay fit, healthy, and young just the way the actress does.

Besides being an actress and wellness consultant, she has

also come up as an inspiring motivational speaker and a

leading entrepreneur.

Lately, she made her comeback with the TV serial “Laut

Aao Trisha” that aired on Life OK in 2014; followed by

her return to movies with the Telugu remake of the Hindi

movie “2 States.”

Her Royal Appeal

Born to a royal Marathi family of Sangli in Maharashtra,

Bhagyashree has that royal essence in her presence.

Her father, Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan is the

present king of Sangli. The way she presents herself in

an event indicates the very royal inheritance that she

possesses. With her very first movie “Maine Pyar Kiya”

opposite Salman Khan, Bhagyashree received the Filmfare

Award for Best Debut Female.

Her character Suman became a household name because

of the innocence that she reflected in her character. The

way she carried herself then and now is still the same.

Even in her 50s, Bhagyashree gives a tough competition

to actresses half of her age. The legacy, however, is still

evident in her children who are as royal in their attitude

as their mother has been. Taking this legacy forward,

Bhagyashree’s children Avantika and Abhimanyu are all

“It was the

power of the

actress’s voice

that made

her the brand

ambassador of

the government

of Maharastra’s

Bhagyashree

Scheme in 2015”

set to start their Bollywood journey soon, expected to

rise the same way their mom did.

A Social Activist

Being a mother to a lovely daughter, Avantika Dassani,

Bhagyashree realises how precious a girl-child is and

thus actively campaigns against the exploitation and

discrimination done to the girl child. She makes sure

she intervenes in matters that are important to bring

about a change in society.

The leader understands very well that being a

celebrity with a significant fan base, people would

aspire to support things that she campaigns for or

against. Knowing that her voice matters, she ensures

participating in and contributing to social issues that

are required to be brought into the focus from time

to time. It was the power of her voice that made

her the brand ambassador of the Government of

Maharashtra’s Bhagyashree Scheme in 2015.

She loves to travel and aspires to explore each &

every corner of the world. Her stylish look and an

exceptionally amazing sense of fashion make her

look adorable irrespective of the nature of events she

attends.
