Mr. Shyam Prasad believes in placing

humble start in his career in 1990 as a
chemist in a pharmaceutical company.
He soon decided to quit his job to
pursue his Masters in Natural Product
Chemistry, post which he established
a firm trading in botanical extracts. It
was in the year 2001 that he eventually
set up Vidya Herbs and ventured into
manufacturing. The company was then a
small manufacturing facility established
on 10,000 square feet land. The firm
determination and management skills
of Mr. Shyam Prasad clubbed with
top-notch product range, cutting-edge
technology, dexterous teamwork, and
continual innovation has helped Vidya
Herbs gain the position of a leading
exporter of herbal extracts and products
to countries such as the USA, Europe,
Korea, and Japan, thus transcending
national boundaries and catapulting the
company into the big league.
Under his guidance, Vidya Herbs
has recently opened its new marketing
office in London, Russia, Dubai, and
Mumbai for making concrete business
development efforts so as to expand
its customer base and penetrate new
markets.

manufacturing units in Bangalore,
with an area spanning 200,000 square
feet. The manufacturing facilities also
have supercritical extraction facilities,
solvent extraction facilities with hightech
manufacturing facilities backed by
fully equipped Quality Control labs with
latest instrumentations such as HPLC,
GC-MS (MS), LC MS, FTIR, in addition
to a dedicated spice extraction facility
and carotenoid extraction facility in
Pondicherry.
Not only this, Mr. Shyam Prasad’s focus
and ideology to offer customers with
research-based quality products have
led to the commencement of a worldclass
R&D facility with a built-up area of
36,000 square feet in a two-acre campus
together with a capable team comprising
PhDs, postgraduates in chemistry,
pharmacology, biochemistry, and food
technology that works continuously
on scientific evaluation, safety studies,
animal studies for efficacy, and applied
food innovation. With a demonstrated
growth history, and veracity in customer
service, he has forged key business
alliances, and collaborations with many
organizations, across different business
verticals. Currently Vidya Herbs has a
huge market reach including the USA,
Japan, Europe, and Korea, with fullfledged
