Amother of three children, when Ms. Mendke wanted
to enrol her kids in school, she couldn’t find one
that not only excelled in academics but also gave
personalised attention to students. When her search met
with disappointment, her husband Mr. Sudhakar Mendke
inspired her to start an institution that would fulfil her
requirements as a mother looking for the perfect school. He
promised his wholehearted support in this endeavour. This
was the starting point of a very fulfilling journey.
SLOW AND STEADY progress
Ms. Mendke established Digamber School in 1978 with five
children, of whom three were members of the family. The
school was a manifestation of her aspirations as a parent
and she nurtured it with the expertise of a professional
educationist, the heart of a mother and the wisdom of a
teacher. Its reputation as a school with personalised care
and excellent educational quality soon spread. By the
seventh year of its functioning, the school had become a
leading institution in Indore. In the following years, the
school had shifted to a bigger campus.
A much larger new campus was set up at Khandwa
Road in 1995 and New Digamber Public School opened
for a more wholesome experience for its students. New
Digamber Public School is a co-education English Medium
School affiliated to the CBSE. It is a 10+2 day school that
runs classes from grade 1 to grade 12. Today, more than
thousands of students who have passed through its portals
have received a solid educational foundation and have
achieved success in their chosen spheres.
