Mr. Kailesh Shah is the managing

director of All Time Plastics Pvt. Ltd.,

a firm that predominantly deals in

manufacturing and exporting plastic

homeware. Mr. Shah is a master at the

art of business and that is what has led

him to catapult his brand to greater

heights. The success of the brand can

be measured by the international clients

that All Time Plastic caters to.

from humble beginnings to

the portals of glory

Mr. Kailesh started his career with the

small family business of plastic cutlery,

which was set up by his father. He used

to assist his father even while he pursued

his graduation from Lala Lajpatrai

College of Commerce and Economics.

Mr. Kailesh attributes his father with all

the inspiration he received in his life.

It was also his father who provided him

with ample opportunities to experiment,

adapt, make mistakes and finally learn the

art of the business. Almost everything that

he knows about running an organization

was inherited from his father.

Starting a business in those times

was not an easy accomplishment. Mr.

Kailesh’s father set up the business with

a lot of hardships which were closely

observed and learnt by the young Kailesh.

But as they say, hardships pave the way

for a greater success, Mr. Kailesh learnt

the nuances of the business just fine.

The company was then called Bombay

Traders and essentially dealt in stainless

steel. By the 1970s, Bombay Traders had

set foot in manufacturing plastic cutlery.

Soon after Mr. Kailesh joined, the

company started spreading wings. It

added a new range of products including

kitchen storage containers, snack and

lunch boxes. The company catered to

distributors across the country. The

business was steadily rising and by the

time they set up their first factory in

Daman, the turnover leaped to Rs. 80

lakhs. Success had come but the journey

was still not over.

Mr. Kailesh, with his brothers, Nilesh

and Bhupesh who joined the business

after him now planned on conquering

the Middle East and European markets.

Within two years of the Daman factory

establishment, the turnover was Rs. 3

crore.

More manufacturing units were set up

and the firm was named All Time Plastic

in 2001. With the leadership skills and

lessons learned from his father, Mr.

Kailesh along with his brothers took the

brand to a different level of achievement.

No wonder success became inevitable.

A Never-Ending Strive

towards excellence

The company has seen some of the

best days but Mr. Kailesh Shah and his

team believes in continuous endeavors

towards growth. Although, plastic ware

business is forever at risk, standards of

quality were never compromised with at

ATPL. Mr. Kailesh firmly believes that

retaining a loyal customer base is more

important than gaining new customers;

this is the reason behind the consistent

quality of the brand.

In addition, the organisation is also

promoting sustainable growth under

his guidance. In its march towards

sustainable development, the firm uses

recyclable plastic for more than 30%

of manufacturing and aims towards

increasing this number.

Mr. Kailesh has also done the wonderful

job of teaching his children what he

learned from his father. Dhvanit, his

son is 26 and has joined the company.

Under Mr. Kailesh’s guidance, the third

generation of the family is all set to take

the company to greater heights.

As a socially-responsible leader, he

ensures that ATPL is constantly involved

in endeavors concerning corporate

social responsibility.
