A graduate from the American College
of Switzerland, Mr. Vineet joined BCCL
in 1993 as the Deputy Manager. He
gave Times Group’s publications (The
Times of India, The Economic Times)
a sophisticated makeover to make
them more appealing to its readers. As
a true strategic leader, Mr. Vineet has
been instrumental in transforming the
Times Group to the country’s largest,
most reputable, and diversified media
conglomerate. He has diversified BCCL’s
portfolio by helping the Times Group
foray into the radio, broadcast television,
internet, outdoor media, and live event
businesses such as the Filmfare Awards
and the Miss India Pageant.
A Visionary Leader
Mr. Vineet Jain is a thought leader who
has brought about noteworthy changes
to the overall media landscape. He
is also the Vice-Chairman of India’s
leading news agency, the Press Trust of
India (PTI).Under his able leadership,
the Times Group has been constantly
evolving. All publications by the Times
Group have emerged as leading and
cutting-edge brands across the length
and breadth of the country. To ensure
success of his vision and ventures, the
ambitious leader also invested in and
released webversions made investments
of widely read news publications such
as the India Times, Delhi Times,
and Bombay Times. He also made
investments in television and launched
popular news channels -Times Now, ET
Now,and entertainment channels such
as Movies Now, and Zoom. Additionally,
he also invested in 40 FM radio stations,
15 online radio stations, outdoor
advertising, as well as movie production.
Under his stewardship, the Times Group
currently enjoys a position of leadership
in all the sectors in which it operates.

Entrepreneur
As a socially responsible leader, Mr.
Vineet believes in giving back to society
generously. He is a member of the
managing committee of Times Group’s
non-profit arms--The Times Foundation
and The Times of India Relief Fund. He
is also in the managing committee of
the S.P. Jain Foundation. Through these
philanthropic organizations, he helps
build schools, homes, and hospitals in
remote areas. He also donates funds to
the disaster-affected community in the
wake of floods, earthquakes, and other
natural disasters.
Moreover, through the Times
Foundation, Mr. Vineet has been
taking consistent measures for driving
change and empowerment. He also
works actively in the areas of education
to provide students with world-class
teaching facilities in engineering, law,
management, and media studies.
Additionally, he has been continuously
contributing to the upliftment of Indian
society via health awareness, skills
development, and women empowerment
programs.
Awards and Accolades
Mr. Vineet Jain has been bestowed
with several awards and honors for
his business acumen and leadership
qualities. In 2009, he was honored with
the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Award
for Corporate Excellence. In the same
year, he won the Indian Telly Award for
his valuable contribution to television
broadcasting in India. He was conferred
the Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2013
by the Bombay Management Association
for successfully diversifying The Times
Group from print to other forms of media.
He also received the IMPACT Person of
the Year Award in 2013 for making a
substantial contribution to the industry
and his groundbreaking initiatives that
have revolutionized media consumption
in the digital era.
In 2015, he got the Media Person of
the Year Award from the International
Advertising Association (IAA). In 2018,
he won the ITA Sterling Icon of India
Entertainment Award in Media Category.
