work) and technical aspects (developing
appropriate systems ro support varied
group activities) . Topics include characteristics
of groups, the nature of teamwork,
group processes and techniques, computer
support for teamwork, design and implementation
issues, human and organizational
issues, and methodological issues.
systems. Topics include concepts of artificial
intelligence, problem-solving methods,
knowledge acquisition, knowledge representations,
inferencing methods, and design
and development of expert systems for
business applications. Prerequisite: INSS
issues in the human-system interface. Such
technologies include: menu structures and
styles, use ofgraphic systems, icon-based
menus, rouch screens, audio, hypertext, etc.
The impact of these technologies on
human-computer interaction, information
presentations, human-compurer communi
