Graduation Fee: Graduare, $40.00; M.S. in
Taxarion, $50.00. Payable ar rhe rime of
applicarion (nor refundable). This fee, and
aJi orher oursranding charges, musr be paid
before a degree will be conferred.
Graduation Late Filing Fee: $10.00 payable
ar rhe rime of filing.
Laboratory Fee: Variable as indicared each
semesrer under each course in rhe schedule
of classes, and nor refundable after rhe lasr
regularly scheduled regisrrarion dare.
Returned Check Charge: $25.00 charged for
each returned item.
Deferred Payment Fee: $10.00 adminisrrarive
charge, payable ar rhe rime of regisrrarion.
Nor refundable.
Arrearage Charge: $25.00 each month an
account remains unbalanced when compared
with the deferred payment schedule,
payable on rhe firsr of rhe monrh following
rhe charge.
Collection Charge: 17 percent of rhe unpaid
balance, assessed ar rhe end of rhe semesrer.
Express Tramcript Fee: $5.00 payable ar rhe
rime of rhe issuance.
Duplicate I.D. Charge: $5.00 payable ar rhe
rime rhe card is issued.
POLICIES
The following policies govern tuirion and
fees:
1) If a srudent has nor paid all bills from a
previous semesrer, the student may nor
be allowed to re-enter for the current
semester.
2) Ifa swdent has an unpaid balance, the
University will not issue official transcripts,
or any other official evidence of
attendance or attainment until the balance
is cleared.
3) Candidates for graduarion must pay in
full all bills due rhe University before a
degree will be conferred.
4) All checks or money orders must be for
the exact amount of the charges and
made payable to rhe University of
Balrimore. Posr dated and two-party
checks are nor acceptable.
5) If a check is rerurned unpaid by a srudent's
bank, rhe University will charge
rhe student's account $25.00 (for the
returned check charge) . A notice will be
sent from the Business Office and rhe
student will have seven days to redeem
the check. Failing to do so will subject
rhe student to disciplinary action. Any
check rerurned by reason of a closed
account will subject the student to disciplinary
dismissal from the University.
6) Graduare students taking undergraduare
courses will be billed ar the undergraduate
tuition level. Undergraduate students
taking graduate courses will be
billed at the graduate tuition level,
unless otherwise noted.
CREDIT CARDS
Arrangements have been made for use of
Visa, Discover, and Mastercard for payment
of wition and fees.
DEFERRED PAYMENT PLAN
Normally, tuition is payable in advance for
the semester. The University of Baltimore
does offer a plan of deferred payments for
students registering for five or more credit
hours. There is an administrative fee of
$10.00 for handling the deferred payment
plan.
Fifty percent of the semester charge,
plus the administrative fee is due ar the
time of registration. The balance of the
semester charge is payable in twO equal
payments, due October 1 and November I
for rhe fall semesrer, and March 1 and April
1 for the spring semester. This plan is not
offered during summer rerms.
Since credits and refunds are based upon
the full charges for the semester and not
upon the amount paid under rhe deferred
payment plan, there is no advantage in the
use ofdeferred payments excepr in cases of
necessity.
