Implant Bed Preparation<br />

Overview of the implant bed preparation.<br />

• Punch-mark the desired implant<br />

position with the internally irrigated<br />

Ø 3.5 mm round bur.<br />

• Deep drill along the implant axial line<br />

with the internally irrigated Ø 2.0 mm<br />

pilot drill.<br />

• Check with the Ø 2.0 / 3.3 mm paralleling<br />

pin with depth marks.<br />

• If desired, use of the planisher to level<br />

crestal bone irregularities.<br />

• Pre-drill with the internally irrigated<br />

Ø 2.8 mm pre-drill.<br />

• Check with Ø 2.8 / 3.6 mm paralleling<br />

pin with depth marks.<br />

• Pre-drill with the internally irrigated<br />

Ø 3.3 mm pre-drill.<br />

• Check with the Ø 2.0 / 3.3 mm paralleling<br />

pin with depth marks.<br />

• Pre-drill with the internally irrigated<br />

Ø 3.6 mm pre-drill.<br />

• Check with Ø 2.8 / 3.6 mm paralleling<br />

pin with depth marks.<br />

• Shape with internally irrigated form<br />

drill.<br />

• Probe the implant bed hole for its<br />

bony end.<br />

• Thread cutting with ROOT-LINE/<br />

SCREW-CYLINDER-LINE tap (for bone<br />

qualities D1 and D2).<br />
