Incision line<br />

The example indication shows the insertion<br />

of a CYLINDER-LINE Implant with<br />

4.3 mm diameter and 13 mm length in<br />

the lateral mandible. The implantation<br />

technique is single-stage transperiosteal.<br />

A split-flap preparation is selected for<br />

the incision line.<br />

Following a somewhat lingual, paracrestal<br />

mucosal incision, a predominantly<br />

epiperiosteal flap is created on the<br />

vestibular aspect. The muscle is divided<br />

and the preparation is continued for<br />

approx. 5 mm further. The mucosa is<br />

prepared 2-3 mm lingually to facilitate<br />

later suturing.<br />

Following marking of the desired implant<br />

position (if necessary with the aid of a<br />

drilling template), the periosteum is<br />

removed circularly in the area of this site<br />

alone (with a gingival punch or scalpel).<br />

This is followed by preparation of the<br />

implant bed to match the selected<br />

implant diameter and length with the<br />

customized instruments for the<br />

CYLINDER-LINE Implant.<br />
