Form Drilling
Once pre-drilling is complete, form drills
in increasing diameters are used for finishing
the final implant bed. Tissueconservative
preparation of the bone is
ensured by the small gradations in
diameter size.
Checking the Implant Bed
Results of probing tests for the absence
of soft tissue in the implant bed must be
filed in the patient chart. If the probe
detects soft tissue, this indicates a fenestration
into the adjacent tissue by the
drill.
